Ayurveda
Ayurveda is a science of healthy living, preventive medicine and therapeutics. It can be divided into two major categories:
PREVENTIVE AYURVEDA
Healthy living and preventive medicine consist of two major things:
- Dinacharya (दिनचर्या).
- Ritucharya (ऋतुचर्या).
- Ayurvedic Healthy Diet (आयुर्वेदिक आहार शास्त्र)
- Rasayana Therapy (Rejuvenation Therapy)
These two things can be further divided into several groups according to the ayurvedic dietary recommendation in various seasons.
Ayurvedic Healthy Living Steps
- Improve Lifestyle (Ayurvedic Lifestyle Therapy): Start living life according to Ayurvedic Dinacharya and Ritucharya.
- Dinacharya: Follow ayurvedic recommendations for daily routine.
- Ritucharya: Follow ayurvedic recommendations for seasonal routine.
- Plan Diet & Eat Good (Ayurvedic Diet Therapy): Take healthy diet as per your body type, appetite, body tolerance and seasons.
Rasayana Therapy (Rejuvenation Therapy)
Rasayana Therapy (ayurvedic rejuvenation therapy) recommends some food supplements, herbs and ayurvedic formulations, which help you to live a healthier, happier and longer life (Ayur Times Motto).
Note: However, Rasayana Therapy can be also taken under Preventive Ayurveda. Because you take Rasayana therapy for prevention of diseases. Therefore, we mainly have two types – Preventive Ayurveda and Ayurvedic Therapeutics.
AYURVEDIC THERAPEUTICS
Ayurvedic therapeutic consists of Aptarpana (अपतर्पण) and Santarpana (सन्तर्पण). These therapies are further divided into subcategories.

- Plan Diet & Eat Good (Ayurvedic Diet Therapy): Take healthy diet as per your body type, appetite, body tolerance, health condition and seasons.
- Detoxify Body (Panchakarma): Eliminate disease-causing substances and toxins from your body with the help of Panchakarma Therapies.
- Ayurvedic Medicine: If required, take internal medicine to prevent, treat, manage or cure a disease.
