You should avoid applying it around the eyes. As per this statement, it absolutely contains some harsh chemicals, which might hurt your baby’s eyes. Each gram of Himalaya Baby Cream contains:

Bala (Country Mallow) – Sida cordifolia root 5 mg
Yashtimadhu (Mulethi) – Glycyrrhiza glabra 5 mg
Giloy (Guduchi) – Tinospora cordifolia 5 mg
Jaitun Oil (Olive Oil) – Olea europaea 35 mg
Methylisothiazolinone ?
Phenoxyethanol ?
Sodium Benzoate ?
Benzoic Acid ?

Ingredient Review: Absolutely, herbal ingredients are beneficial for the skin. Unfortunately, 1000 mg contains just 45 mg of herbal ingredients. Then what is the remaining? What is the base? It is not clear from the product ingredients. Methylisothiazolinone, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate and Benzoic Acid are preservatives.

Himalaya Baby Cream Benefits & Uses

The main benefits of Himalaya baby cream are its softening and smoothening effects on the skin. Due to this reason, it is well suitable for tender skin areas including:

  1. Cheeks.
  2. Nose.
  3. Elbows.
  4. Knees.

Bala, Yashtimadhu (Mulethi) and Jaitun Oil in this product can help to preserve the natural softness of the skin. Giloy might help to prevent skin infections.

Yashtimadhu and Jaitun Oil moisturizes the skin and exerts softening effects. because of these ingredients, Himalaya baby cream might help to reduce dryness of the skin.

Improves Skin Luster

Olive oil in this product might also improve skin luster. Because it contains less amount of olive oil, it might not provide many benefits, as olive oil alone can provide in this regard.

Protects the Skin

Himalaya baby cream might help to prevent skin infection and protect the skin due to the antioxidant action of its some ingredients.

Bala and Yashtimadhu have pitta pacifying action. So, it might protect the skin from redness and inflammation.

How to Use Himalaya Baby Cream

Apply this cream on the cheeks, nose, elbow, and knees. You can apply it after a bath.

  • Don’t apply it near the eyes.
  • If your child is allergic to any of its ingredient or preservatives in this product, avoid it.
  • If your child gets redness or irritation on the skin after applying this cream, stop its use. Wash the areas with water immediately. Consult your doctor immediately.

My Personal Recommendations

Personally, I will not use it on my child’s skin. I always prefer 100% pure cold press coconut oil for applying on the baby’s skin. I also recommend the same thing for my readers.
