  1. I read here “Geriforte Tablet contains Makardhwaj (mercury compound), so we do not consider it safe for long-term use. However, Geriforte Tablet contains a minimal amount of Makardhwaj, but we still believe it should not be used for long-term or more than 40 days.” And below I read “I use Geriforte for a year. Can it be harmful? How long can we use Geriforte syrup or tablets?

Geriforte can be taken on a regular basis for a long-term. It is a food supplement, which can be taken for years without any side effects.”

Please explain if Geriforte tablets should be taken for up to 40 days or if it can be taken for years, without any side effects.
    Thank you!

    1. Geriforte Syrup does not contain Makardhwaj. It can be used for the long-term without any issue.

Geriforte tablet contains around 10 mg Makardhwaj, which is generally most safe dosage for Makardhwaj and can also be used on regular basis for several weeks. However, it should be used under the supervision of an ayurvedic doctor.
The maximum duration of its use is not specified, but it should be safe if used for 4 to 6 weeks in a dosage of 2 tablets twice daily. Then, 1 tablet twice daily can be continued as per doctor’s recommendation.

  3. Hi

Does it have a calming effect like mentat on grown ups and children?

  4. Can Geriforte tablet be taken along with Syn dopa 110mg. tablet as I am diagnosed for Parkinson’s disease?

  5. Dear Sir/Madam,
I suffer from OCD since childhood, got depressed as I grew old and started getting frustrated and violent as time went on. I have been living on my own in boarding schools since the tender age of 8 (I am 26 now) and got badly exposed and couldn’t handle the difficulties of life. My concentration level had also eroded. So, i am taking 2 tablets mentat and 1 tablet brahmi twice a day at the same time for more than a month now. I have started feeling much better and my motivation has also increased. I have also taken geriforte on and off. Now i am thinking of taking it regularly at the same time along with mentat and brahmi. I also have chronic bronchitis, tonsillitis and recurring sore throat since childhood. So, I have started taking septilin 2 tab twice a day. The question that I have is, is it OK to take all these 4 medicines (mentat, brahmi, geriforte, septilin) at the same time? I have been taking all these 4 medicines at the same time for 2 weeks now and haven’t observed any side effects.
Your input regarding this will be highly appreciable.

    Thanks, and Regards

Every few days, she has some problem. She takes chyavan prash off and on, tries her best to have a healthy diet. Can geriforte be beneficial for her and if so what dosage and for how long? Thanks.
